In 2021, Intel took many hits and ran into their fair share of struggles. Amid delays in chipmaking due to a congressional battle to enact laws that enable investments in domestic semiconductor manufacturing juxtaposed with pivotal leadership changes, the market-leading provider of CPUs needed to make noise in their attempt to reclaim their throne. Pat Gelsinger’s return to Intel as CEO rejuvenated the company and created a rallying cry for Intel’s repositioning. Their ‘Comeback Story’ took a cue from infamous sports moments and served as a metaphor crafted to be shared with all employees globally.
