Nat Borchers was a central defender for the MLS’s Portland Timbers. A high-profile offseason acquisition and the newest face on the team, he was also the face of the team in a much-beloved annual “photobomb” contest. Our client Daimler Trucks North America sponsored the contest, and asked Opus to create the campaign kickoff video.
The photobomb contest was a fun, quirky way to highlight a Timbers player while reigniting fan passion and engagement to start each season. We created a memorable, highly shareable video introducing Nat to Portland while highlighting iconic attractions throughout the city and launching the social contest across multiple channels—including the giant stadium screen on match days!
